"Our
companys recently spent a week at the Prairie Pillow in
the beginning of December. While we were there we hunted
Pheasants and also went on two Buffalo hunts.
The Pheasant hunting was excellent with limits taken all
days but two. We had a large group with 12 to 15 people
hunting each day and the guides did an excellent job of
keeping us hunting where there were lots of birds. Three
of the days we were in before lunch with our limit.
The Buffalo hunt was really a blast and not as easy as
you might think. We brought the Buffalo to West Side
Meats in Mobridge following each hunt and had the meat
processed into Brats (Angie's special recipe) some
steaks, a couple of roasts for making jerky and
hamburger. Let me tell you, Buffalo is excellent and
West Sides processing was very reasonable.
We really enjoyed the lodge as it is the perfect size
for a large group and there are always some fun
activities such as pool and dart tournaments, dice and
card games. Angies cooking can't be beat and there is
always more food than you can eat.
The Prairie Pillow Sportsman's Lodge is truly a great
destination for hunting and fishing. Great
accommodations, excellent food and some of the best
hunting anywhere all within one location make the
"Pillow" our choice for future hunting and fishing
trips."
